Gus, recently returning to his hometown of Duluth, earned his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Saint John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota. He then obtained his Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities in Minneapolis. Gus has experience working in a variety of settings and specializes in helping individuals with an array of goals related to their mental health. His use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, in tandem with a Person Centered approach lends itself well to trauma, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and substance use.
Gus believes that client needs always come first and that therapy can help empower individuals to live their best life. He enjoys working with teens, adolescents, and young adults, along with families. His non-judgmental approach and openness to incorporating what's best for the client, creates a safe and comfortable place for his clients to land.
Since finding his way back to Duluth, Gus enjoys spending time by the lake, exploring the woods, and traveling up the shore. In his free time, he can be found at the gym or getting exercise outside. Riding his motorcycle is one of his favorite activities, along with reading and continuing to educate himself in various ways.
