Rebecca “Becky” Kucinski arrives from northernWisconsin where she spent the last 6 years working in a community clinic withan emphasis on providing integrated, whole person care. She received herBachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota- Duluth in2011 and her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Western MichiganUniversity in 2018.

Becky has a passion for working withalmost all ages, seeing clients as young as four. She has worked with a rangeof concerns including trauma, complex trauma, anxiety, depression,  obsessive compulsive disorder, disorderedeating, and navigating stressful life transitions. Her approach is deeplycollaborative, person-centered, and neuroaffirming. She finds it important tostart by painting the whole picture of the person, identifying strengths,adaptive strategies, and barriers to meeting goals. Goals of treatment arecreated collaboratively.

Becky attempts to tailor therapy to each individual'sunique needs, incorporating evidence-based practices. Becky has completedtrainings in:

●     Trauma & SomaticTherapies:EMDR therapy including advanced training in treating complex trauma, IFSinformed, Polyvagal Theory, and somatic-informed techniques.

●     Behavioral & CognitiveModalities:Mindfulness based, CBT, DBT, ACT, and ERP.

●    Child & Family Approaches: Play-based therapies, TF-CBT,and attachment-informed models such as Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy(DDP).

Becky has completed coursework on neuroaffirmingapproaches to treatment when working with individuals diagnosed with ADHD andASD. She also has significant experience working with children and adolescentsdiagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families.

Becky has always loved science alongside having adeep drive to help others. She is endlessly curious about human nature and thecomplex intricacies that make us who we are. Becky feels very lucky she wasable to find a career that incorporates science, healing, laughter, and play!

What does Becky do outside of her clinical work?

Becky has a strong love of nature and being on theshores of Lake Superior. She enjoys spending time with her pets, family, andfriends. She enjoys creating art, gardening, learning, and exploring.
