Teresa Guerrero

Teresa has been in practice for over twenty-five years. She obtained her Bachelors in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater in 1994, and her Masters of Social Work from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 1996. Teresa works to provide services free of judgement and full of acceptance. She has many years of experience serving people struggling with PTSD, trauma, depression, adjustment, grief, relationship concerns, and stress management.

In her practice she utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths Based Approaches, Mindfulness Practice, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and she is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She has significant experience providing mental health services to college students presenting with a wide range of mental health concerns.

In addition to her role as a psychotherapist, she enjoys teaching on mental health topics and is a certified mental health first aid trainer. She taught college courses for many years as an instructor in social work, psychology, and psychiatric nurse practitioner programs.
