Teresa’s psychotherapy approach is rooted in compassion, evidence-based training, and 30 years of clinical experience. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1994 and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 1996.

With extensive experience, she supports individuals facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), addiction, life transitions, grief, relationship concerns, and stress management. She enjoys working with adults of all ages, with an emphasis on providing empathic professional care to support clients in meeting their goals.

Her therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strengths-Based Approaches, Mindfulness Practices, Narrative Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. She is also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

In addition to her role as a psychotherapist, she enjoys teaching on mental health topics and is a certified Mental Health First Aid trainer. She has extensive teaching experience, having taught college courses in social work, psychology, and psychiatric nurse practitioner programs.
